Lihpikihna (Oasis) is a bi-lingual Kiphire based first and only language reading and learning platform that connect users with Sangtam (Naga) speakers through bilingual texts. The platform emerged out of necessity to empower our community with information in the form of news, advertisement, public discourses and vocabulary so that they will be in better position to exercise their rights in every aspect of lives and learns mother tongue.
Lihpikihna also emerged as a protector and promoter of mother language in an alarming time when our language is threatened of extinction as our own people started losing interest to learn and speak in their own mother tongue. As we launched this platform as a Path Breaking endeavor towards the publication of a weekly newsletter (Nyükhih Sobho) in native language on October 8, 2020 and as we embrace technology, Lihpikihna continues to emerge as a leading native online platform among the Sangtam community.
As we continue our endeavor to keep our people informed and enlightened so as to enable them to live a dignified life in society, we reaffirm our commitment to serve our society as a medium of communication amongst the people in bringing them closer for better understanding of their own rights, duties and identities. We also rededicate ourselves in discharging our responsibilities in letting the Truth triumphs in all circumstances.
